Philosophy
Theories of Goodness, in philosophy inquire into what sort of things are good and what “good” really means in the abstract.
These theories, as most philosophers believe is the most important area in philosophy as most religions, philosophical movements and political movements have been concerned with it to some extent.
Goodness and what it means to a society is theorised by individuals for harmonious living. Love thy neighbour, Non Violence, Sex is sin, Superstitions, etc.
While these morals are the backbone of our society and have been millennia, they also shame an individual for having human experiences such as anger, sadness, lust and sometimes even happiness.
Emotions, thoughts and feelings are a very human experience, while not favourable to express every fleeting emotions out to the world, they do deserve a moment to be experienced and expressed in a safe manner.
Many mental ailments, thought patterns and compulsive behaviours rise from resisting basic human experiences and perceiving abstract Goodness for truths.
For example,
A child conditioned to believe they are responsible for their parents happiness and sadness may grow up to compulsively people please and develop anxiety to others emotions.
A teen conditioned to believe anger is very unhealthy may never be able to set healthy boundaries and affirm their decisions.
Goodness Theory, as Abhinand experienced it through his journey, believes in understanding what is good for the individual while understanding the overall goodness for a society.
